Biography
Darryl J. Dreyer dedicates his practice to the representation of victims of motor vehicle accidents, workplace accidents, slip/trip and falls, dog bites, and any other situation where an innocent person is injured due to the negligence or recklessness of others. Darryl has successfully handled thousands of cases, and prides himself on getting results for his clients. Darryl believes that results do not just happen on their own, you have to make them happen. What sets Dreyer Law Offices apart from other personal injury firms is the level of personal attention that each client receives. The firm is highly selective in the cases it accepts, and each client receives a unique level of personal attention unmatched by firms with larger case-loads or firms which handle other types of cases in addition to injury cases.
Darryl is a native of Newburgh having graduated in 1986 from Newburgh Free Academy. Darryl is also a 1990 graduate of SUNY Binghamton where he received his Bachelors of Science in Economics, achieving high honors. After Binghamton, Darryl attended Boston University School of Law where he achieved his Juris Doctor, cum laude. In 1993, Darryl began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office where he tried numerous criminal cases. The experience he gained in building winning cases in the DA’s Office provided a background for building successful and winning personal injury cases for those that are the victims of other’s negligence. Darryl left the DA’s Office in 1997 and thereafter worked for a large mid-town Manhattan firm where he represented hospitals and doctors on medical malpractice claims. In 1998, Darryl joined the trial unit of one of the largest personal injury firms in New York State. In 2000, Darryl left that firm to join his wife, Sarah, at the New Windsor firm of Silver, Forrester, Schisano & Lesser, and shortly thereafter the firm added Sarah and Darryl as partners. In 2009, after almost 10 years handling personal injury cases together at Silver, Forrester, Schisano, Lesser & Dreyer, Darryl left on his own to start Dreyer Law Offices. Six months later, Darryl was successful in convincing Sarah to join him. Together they have built Dreyer Law Offices, based in Newburgh, into the premier boutique personal injury firm in the Hudson Valley.

Our Case Results
$1,750,000
High-Speed Police Pursuit - our office was able to hold the police department responsible for a high-speed pursuit that ended when the pursued vehicle caused a violent accident that caused tragic consequences to our client’s family.
$1,750,000
$1,650,000
Client was working on a job site as a roofer and fell through the roof injuring his neck, back, and shoulder. The defense argued that our client was at fault for stepping on an unsecured area of the roof. We successfully countered, through the use of experts in workplace safety and OSHA rules, that the owner and general contractor failed to provide the appropriate safety devices which, if available on the job site, would have prevented his injuries. The defense also contested that the claimed injuries were related to the fall. We successfully countered this argument through the use of expert medical reviews and reports. The matter was settled before a mediator who specializes in workplace falls.
$1,650,000
$1,550,000
This settlement was attained on the brink of trial after the case was thoroughly prepared. Our client was injured in a violent motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle was forced into our client’s path by another vehicle which was illegally passing. The offending vehicle fled the scene, but was located by an investigator many hours later. Client suffered a neck injury, foot fractures, facial fractures, fractured clavicle, as well as a shoulder injury. We retained 5 expert witnesses, including 4 doctors and a professional medical visualist who developed graphic color slides to show a jury just how our client suffered his injuries.
