Biography
Steven A. Kimmel has been serving the legal needs of Orange County residents for more than 40 years. Steve has specialized in personal injury law for his entire career. During that time, he has worked for both plaintiffs and defendants, and for firms as small as two attorneys to one of the largest personal injury firms in the State of New York. Over the course of his career, Steve has developed the skills and experience which enable him to handle every aspect of a personal injury case, from the initial client consultation all the way through the trial and, if necessary, the appeal. Steve has developed a particular expertise in the areas of motion practice and appeals, and is often consulted by other attorneys for advice in those aspects of the practice. Steve was with the firm of Finkelstein & Partners for 15 years, rising to the level of partner, and then worked for himself for a number of years, before joining Dreyer Law Offices.
Steve was born in the Bronx and graduated from the Bronx High School of Science and Lehman College. He received his Juris Doctor from the Fordham University School of Law and is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York as well as the Federal Courts. Steve has been a lifelong auto enthusiast and is an ardent fan of both Formula 1 and IMSA (sports car and prototype) racing. His automotive knowledge comes in handy when he is working on motor vehicle accident cases. His background in science and his innate curiosity serve him well when learning new subjects which are involved in our cases, and enable him to knowledgeably discuss the cases with the expert witnesses who assist us in such cases, and to conduct discovery of the experts for the opposing parties.
